This is an hour session for us to have a pre-exercise chat about your and what you want to achieve and get out of your training sessions, so I can provide you with the best possible programme.

Prior to our first meeting, I will email you a questionnaire to fill out (there are no right or wrong answers, just be honest) and ask you to send it back to me. For your consultation I can either come to you, or meet you at the gym, so we can have an in-depth talk about your lifestyle as it is now, how you want to improve and if you have a medical history that will affect your training.

We will discuss what your goals are, what exercises/activities you have done in the past and, what ones you enjoyed and found you got results from. We will work out a time frame for your goals this is achievable and realistic. This will help to keep you motivated and work out if there are any obstacles that may stop you reaching your goals. If weight loss is one of them, I will be asking you to fill out a food diary.

If you haven’t had a personal trainer before or you haven’t exercised much don’t worry, a Personal Consultation is a great way to start. I will guide you through all you need to know in order to help you feel more confident about your training. The consultation allows me to design a programme that is tailored for your goals and fitness level.

I take blood pressure and body measurements before we start, which we will review every 8 weeks to monitor your progression. We will also have plenty of time to go through any questions you have about personal training.
